Copeland, Costa, Medeiros, and Nichols Sworn In As Circuit Court Judges

HONOLULU – Rebecca A. Copeland, Brian A. Costa, Dyan M. Medeiros, and Steven R. Nichols were sworn in today as Circuit Court Judges of the First Circuit before colleagues, special guests, family, and friends.

Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald presided over the ceremony, which was livestreamed on the Judiciaryʻs YouTube channel.

Guest speakers were: Hawaii State Bar Association President Jesse K. Souki; Hawaiʻi State Trial Judges Association Secretary Bryant G.F.Y. Zane; Judicial Selection Commission Commissioner Dawn P.N. Mahi; Hawaiʻi State Sen. Mike Gabbard; and Gov. Josh Green, M.D.

Judges Copeland, Costa, Medeiros, and Nichols will each serve a term of 10 years.
